Joining and welding

Our welding technology department is staffed by experienced welding engineers and specialists who have extrordinary good skills of various welding processes, such as laser, robot and conventional welding.

At KWM WEISSHAAR, we have all the necessary certificates required for the manufacture and repair of a wide variety of processes. These include certificates for rail vehicle construction, steel structures, defence technology and many more. We are currently increasing the use of laser welding, particularly in the aluminium sector, in order to achieve even better results.

In addition to welding technology, bonding is also increasingly being used as a joining technology for safety-relevant components. In the printing machine industry, it is used to prevent welding distortion in the manufacture of high-precision sheet metal components, while in rail vehicle construction it is primarily used for vehicle interiors.

We have been using this technology successfully for many years and have been officially audited and approved for all aspects of bonding and sealing since November 2009. We are one of the very first 100 companies to be certified to DIN 6701-2 (class A2) by the Bonding Technology Centre and qualified for rail vehicle construction.
