Quality
Thanks to a very well-trained staff in the quality assurance department, quality is ensured in all areas, from work preparation and incoming goods to production, assembly and outgoing goods.
Our QM system is based on customer requirements, DIN, ISO, EN standards and VDA guidelines. If required, this means carrying out Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (FMEA), creating test plans and test instructions, as well as sample protocols and initial sample test reports. This ensures the quality of new parts or modified articles.
In addition to our skilled workers, we use state-of-the-art testing equipment, such as a 6-axis measuring articulated arm, a 3D measuring machine, several height measuring devices and all common standard measuring equipment. These are subject to regular test equipment monitoring in accordance with VDI/VDE/DGQ 2618.
KWM WEISSHAAR also has the manufacturer qualifications for welding steel structures (EN 1090-2), for welding aluminium structures (EN 1090-3), as well as the certificate for the manufacture and repair of defence equipment (DIN 2303).
Environment
In the field of the environment, we strive to implement the relevant legal regulations and minimise environmental pollution. Our goals in this area also include conserving resources by using environmentally friendly and reusable resources (e.g. packaging) and minimising pollutants.
With the new photovoltaic roof membrane installed in 2009, KWM WEISSHAAR reduces CO2 emissions by over 90 tonnes per year. We have also been increasingly supplying companies in the environmental technology sector for several years now. With this investment, we are making a further contribution to environmental protection. 4,200 square metres of the roof surface were covered with 2,700 m² of a special photovoltaic roof membrane, which supplies 102,000 kilowatt hours of electricity per year (connected electric charge 110 KW).
